Gabi has been a loyal member of the Grandau team since 2002. She ensures that service runs smoothly; she is a kind-hearted soul and acts as the team’s go-to person and mentor. Outside work, she can be found exploring the Montafon mountains on her touring skis, on her bike, or on foot. It’s no surprise that this dynamic mother to a son has also completed her training as a hiking guide “on the side”. Our insider tip: her magical sunset hikes.

Since 2017, Nici has steered the reception with brilliance. Hailing from Germany, she’s been a Montafon resident for years and knows it like the back of her hand. She’s virtually a local now – a prestigious accolade in Montafon! She caters to your every need with grace and expertise. When off the clock, she has a soft spot for cats and relishes time spent in nature.

Since 2014, Silke has been brightening our mornings with her infectious spirit. As a skilled baker and confectioner, she crafts our irresistibly delightful yeast plaits. Always ready with a light-hearted joke, the affable Styrian is great for a chat. A true team player with a big heart, she coordinates fun toboggan evenings and team events. Outside work, she applies her compassion to assisting the elderly through mobile aid services.

Originally from Bregenzer Wald, Marlene embodies versatility and is a genuine nature enthusiast. Since 2013, our guests have benefited from her therapeutic touch as a medical masseuse. She took a two-summer hiatus to tend to a herd of suckler cows and sheep at Alpe Netza. Now she is back at work with us and, as a trained hiking guide, also organises our sensory hikes.

A perfect fit: Zijad, along with his wife Vahida, joined the Grandau team in December 2001. He knows the house inside out and is always there to lend a hand when needed. After working with Milko in the kitchen for years, the two understand each other without words. It’s even joked that Milko spends more time with Zijad than with his wife, Yvonne. :-)

Ziyad’s dependable counterpart, Vahida, is always there when needed. She ensures the establishment’s cleanliness and swiftly completes any mending tasks on the sewing machine. If something’s missing, there’s no need to fret – just ask Vahida. She’s bound to know where it’s tucked away.

Whether it’s delicious cocktails, wine pairings, or the perfect menu, the Hungarian host ensures that your evening is memorable. She always has a warm smile on her face. In her free time, she goes for long walks with her dog, Roni.

Born in Hungary, she has overseen the hotel bar since 2021, whipping up coffee specialities and homemade lemonades in the afternoon and drinks and cocktails in the evening. In addition to Hungarian and German, she also speaks perfect English and French.

Friendly, hard-working, and simply fantastic. That’s Sarah – a true Montafon native. In 2022, she completed her training as a service specialist at our hotel with distinction, and she continues to actively support us. Off-duty, she loves to hike and ski.

Since 2018, Ruth has embraced her passion for beauty and well-being in our spa area. She skilfully pampers our guests’ bodies, faces, hands, and feet. On a personal note, she has been happily married for thirty years, has five children, and wholeheartedly relishes her role as a grandmother to seven grandchildren.

Elena, who hails from Romania, has been our vigilant cleaner since 2021, tirelessly ensuring that not a speck of dust remains. She also channels her love for baking into assisting Milko in crafting delectable cakes and tarts.

Since January 2023, the bright Sankt-Gallenkirch native has been training with us as a hotel and hospitality assistant. From reception to service, he is getting to know all the departments and scoring points with his charm. In his private life, he is passionate about computer games and motorsports.

Zsolt, affectionately known as Zolti, came from Hungary with his wife Kinga to replace the senior boss on shuttle duty. He ensures the surroundings of the hotel are immaculate and is the go-to person when anything needs fixing. In summer, he tends to the expansive garden. Off-duty, he’s an avid fisherman and takes pride in his professional gear.
